My Story
Scotty Morton – Country Soul with a Rebel’s Edge
Raised in a Christian household where gospel music filled the air, Scotty Morton’s roots run deep in faith, family, and real country tradition. From the church pews to the front porch, his early influences were grounded in gospel harmonies and classic country storytelling. But like many artists with fire in their soul, Scotty’s journey took a rebellious turn as he got older—trading pews for neon lights and stepping onto the stages of honky-tonks and country clubs across the South.
That leap of faith sparked a career built on grit, heart, and undeniable stage presence.
Scotty formed his own band, began recording original music, and quickly earned opportunities to share the stage with some of country music’s biggest names. He has opened for legends and chart-toppers including Charlie Daniels, Lorrie Morgan, Lonestar, Deana Carter, and Marty Brown.
The song “I’m From the Country” was written by Marty Brown and famously recorded by Tracy Byrd—and Scotty had the honor of opening for Marty Brown, further connecting him to the traditional country lineage he proudly represents.
Throughout his career, Scotty’s music has crossed paths with influences and icons like George Jones, Jason Aldean, and the legendary Hank Williams Jr..
His hard work and dedication earned him Male Vocalist of the Year in Modern Country at the prestigious Josie Music Awards as an independent artist—proof that passion and perseverance still matter in today’s industry.
Now, Scotty’s journey has come full circle. Returning to his spiritual foundation, he recently released a powerful gospel single titled “Fight Like a Man,” blending his country roots with a bold message of faith and strength.
Behind the scenes, Scotty credits producer and guitarist Jason Roller of Magic Shake Studios for helping bring his music to life. Roller, who has worked alongside the iconic group Alabama and performs at the legendary Grand Ole Opry, has helped shape Scotty’s sound into a dynamic blend of high-energy performance and classic country soul.
From North to South, Scotty Morton has played stages across the country, delivering high-octane shows packed with heart, grit, and that unmistakable old-school country sound.
This is only the beginning.
With more music on the way and a story still being written, Scotty Morton invites fans everywhere to be part of the journey.
Be a part of the history. The best is yet to come. 🎸
